Can a magazine mend a broken heart?

OMG Reading Ninjas, I have another fantastic read for your TBR lists, apparently it's been sitting in mine since 2017... This book had me cackling on the couch all day, it's a total LOL laughfest that had my cat watching me with concern as I laughed and snorted as I read... I just couldn't put it down from start to finish.

THE SEVEN STEPS TO CLOSURE. by Donna Joy Usher

This Aussie author has given us a LOL book that I can totally see becoming a movie. There are so many hilarious moments in this story, you'll find yourself cackling like some nutter throughout. From the psychotic pet parade that includes a verbally abusing cocky and a suicidal fish, to the tragedy of online dating that we all know (I'm pretty sure I once dated 'fancy' Scottish restaurant guy). Throw in meaningless sex, a balloon scam and a group of ride or die friends who are so like my own girl gang who I love so much. This book has it all - Indian intestinal aerobics anyone? Many, many shoes... An asshole, a man hero and a girl who is me in any life.

I loved this book so much, I can absolutely say it's one of the best books I've read in a really long time. If there were more than 5 stars available - I'd be giving them. Do yourself a favour Reading Ninjas, clear a weekend and snuggle up with The Seven Steps to Closure - you'll be really glad you did. If only finding closure on a crappy, heartbreak were really this easy and this fun.

Tara Babcock awakes the morning after her 30th birthday with a hangover that could kill an elephant - and the knowledge she is still no closer to achieving closure on her marriage breakup. Things go from bad to worse when she discovers that, not only is her ex-husband engaged to her cousin - Tash, the woman he left her for - but that Jake is also running for Lord Mayor of Sydney.

Desperate to leave the destructive relationship behind and with nothing to lose, she decides- with encouragement from her three best friends - to follow the dubious advice from a magazine article, Closure in Seven Easy Steps.

The Seven Steps to Closure follows Tara on her sometimes disastrous- always hilarious - path to achieve the seemingly impossible.
