Yes, you read that right Reading Ninjas - my girl Red has released book 25 in the Brie series and it's spectacular! Brie is still recovering from the trauma of her abduction and while she manages day-to-day ok, her spirit is close to breaking more than once in this book. Her Sub school family are all on hand, however, they themselves are dealing with their own reactions and actions when it comes to what Brie has gone through.
Souls are damaged, paths have been lost and core beliefs are challenged more than ever before. However, these are our Sub school peeps - wherever there is darkness there is also wonderfully warm, comforting light, Lea-style laughs and the most beautiful collaring I think I've ever read. (Personally, I think even more lovely than Brie's own ceremony so long ago). This family has come a long way in 25 books, however, not only are they as close as ever - I believe they are even more so. Their relationships have deepened and developed as they've weathered the storms life and kink prejudice throw at them.
It seems there is always more to Brie's story to be told and I know Red's muses were so vocal, she went back and added an extra scene even after I read the ARC.
